Mr. Ferrell offers a wealth of Management and entrepreneurial experience to any organization seeking reliable and knowledgeable contributions. Greg currently works with independent franchise restaurant operators who want practical advice to improve their business management practices to build a more profitable restaurant and valuable business.

Greg began his entrepreneurial career at the age of 22 when he started the first tanning salon in Anchorage Alaska in 1982.   Within two years he opened a second Sun Spot store and realized sales of over $500,000 between both stores. Anticipating the saturation of the concept to the Alaskan market Greg sold the business in 1987 for $250,000.00 after an initial business investment of $50,000.00.

The next step for Mr. Ferrell was to go back to college where he received a Degree in Business Management from Cal
Poly in Pomona CA in 1990.   Upon graduation, Greg became one of the first interns for the Marriot Corporation to move into upper Management during an internship. Mr. Ferrell advanced in the hospitality industry as the Night Manager for Residence Inn by Marriot in Arcadia, CA.   After a year of excellent customer service accolades and decreased customer complaints, Greg was promoted to Marketing and Sales Manager for the hotel. During his two-year stint as an Executive Manager with Marriot, he was influential in implementing an efficient customer sales program to keep guest loyalty at a high level. Continued communication with guests, mixed with appreciation gifts for loyal guests and employee incentives were the key to this successful program.   The results were reflected in annual sales increases of 10% each year Mr. Ferrell was an employee at the hotel.

Mr. Ferrell next move was to enter into the fast-paced world of warehouse shopping. In 1993 he was hired on by Costco Wholesale as the Membership and Marketing Manager in Anchorage, AK. Within one year he was promoted to Administration Manager and became responsible for the entire financial operations of a $100,000,000 annual sales warehouse.

In 1996 Mr. Ferrell co-founded ConeHead Investments, Inc. with partner Mr. George Huggins.   The company was formed to represent and help develop the new Brand of Cold Stone Creamery.   The area of responsibility as Area Developers was for Southern California and the state of Nevada.   In a ten-year period, Mr. Ferrell significantly contributed to the growth of the Brand and helped his company reach 250 franchisee operating stores reaching approximately $100,000,000 in annual sales. The company of ConeHead Investments owned five stores that reached sales of over $2,000,000 annually.   During that period of growth, sales increased by double digits for 7 straight years.   In addition, ConeHead Investments was awarded Area Developer of the year by Cold Stone Corporate Executive Management three years in a row 1999 to 2001. In 2002 they received the Achievement of Excellence award from the CEO of Cold Stone Creamery Doug Ducey – current State Treasury of Arizona.

As the Co-Owner of ConeHead Investments, Greg was directly responsible for all aspects of Real Estate including but not limited to leases and site selection. Cold Stone Creamery has grown to over 1300 stores both in International and Domestic markets using the site selection program designed by Mr. Ferrell. In addition, he headed the departments of store design, construction, and equipment.   This type of grass route experience can be beneficial in helping identify the optimum locations.   Along with his partner, he was also influential in company policies and strategic company development and goals. The company continues to operate efficiently today under his leadership.
